The Most Memorable Makeouts on 'Saturday Night Live'

Saturday Night Live can always be counted on for a laugh, but you know what? Sometimes, things get a little sexy-like. In the midst of the hilarity, and VH1 Classic's ongoing "SNL Rewind: 2015-1975 Mega Marathon," let’s look back at the most memorable makeouts that heated up the sketch show's illustrious 40-year history.

"Nerds of Seduction": Gilda Radner Turns It On (Season 4, Episode 16)

Today in a post-Kristen Wiig and Amy Poehler society, we know—and love—that the lovely ladies of comedy are totally unafraid to turn off the cute to get a laugh. They’re not here to be sexy—they’re here to bring the laughs. But one of the first to really embrace it was Gilda Radner, hero to all funny women. Even Bill Murray is impervious to her charms.

"Merry Christmas, Dammit!": Donny and Marie Osmond Get Close  (Season 8, Episode 9)

We tried our best but, alas, no video of this sketch could be found. It is simply too hot for Internet TV. Featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Marie and Gary Kroeger as Donny (and Eddie Murphy as Gumby) the G-rated siblings serenade each other with “Blue Christmas” then just start going at it. “Donny and Marie! Hey, hey, hey, cut it out! Is this how you kids go Hawaiian? Give me a break here!” Gumby yells in horror.

"Wayne’s World": Wayne Goes at It With Madonna (Season 16, Episode 19)

Not only is this one of the best makeouts, it’s just one of the best sketches of all time. Poking fun at Madonna’s totally bizarre and super hot “Justify My Love” video, Mike Myers and Madge get in a lot of tongue time, with a special appearance by Dana Carvey sporting a very impressive prosthetic.

End Credits: Nirvana Goes in for a Group Kiss (Season 17, Episode 10)

Sometimes, you don’t even need a sketch. In 1992, during the end credits of the episode, Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic started making out. Reportedly, Cobain said it was to “piss off the homophobes and rednecks.”

"The Love-ahs": Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch Attempt to Seduce (Season 27, Episode 3)

There might not be any actual lip-on-lip action in these sketches, but the pair of “love-ahs” (played perfectly by Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch, and featuring Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore) is simply too seductive to not include.

"Sully and Denise": Jimmy Fallon and Rachel Dratch Jump Each Other's Bones (Season 27, Episode 12)

Ah, young love. Sully (Fallon) and Denise (Dratch) couldn’t get through a three-minute sketch without attacking each other, even in the presence of Britney Spears.

"Maggie Smith Oscar Predictions": Sir Ian McKellan Wants Jimmy Fallon (Season 27, Episode 15)

Sir Ian McKellan is a treasure. Thanks to his super best friendship with Patrick Stewart, we also know he is a total goofball, and this Weekend Update is a perfect example of that. Wouldn’t we all try to get with Jimmy Fallon given the chance?

"Kissing Family": The Vogelchecks Grieve Unconventionally (Season 35, Episode 16)

Love this sketch or hate it, you can’t make a list of SNL makeouts without including the Vogelchecks, a family who really, really, REALLY loves each other, and aren't afraid to show it. Bobby Moynihan, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Kenan Thompson, Abby Elliott, and Will Forte all star in this debut sketch about a group of loved ones who just cope with death by kissing through grief. No big.

"Kissing Family": The Vogelchecks Celebrate Thanksgiving (Season 37, Episode 7)

In addition to wakes, the family also likes kissing at Thanksgiving. This one includes Jason Segel, Vanessa Bayer, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Jay Pharoah, and Paul Rudd all engaging in one big mouth orgy.

"Kissing Family": Paul Rudd Really Loves Bill Hader (Season 39, Episode 21)

In reaction to the negative reaction Michael Sam received after kissing his boyfriend on live TV when he found out he was drafted, the Vogelchecks returned for some hot mom on son on father on grandma action. This time around, it's Taran Killam, Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Paul Rudd, Kate McKinnon, and Maya Rudolph showing that there's nothing wrong with showing affection towards the one you love.

"Stefon and Seth Share a Special Moment": Bill Hader Inspires Your Fan Fiction (Season 37, Episode 17)

We shipped it then, we ship it now. Stefon (Bill Hader) and Seth Myers: OTP.

"Last Call": Kate McKinnon Finds a Drunken Soulmate (season 38, episode 6)

Kate McKinnon’s Sheila Sovage has the kind of confidence we all envy. She never leaves the bar, tended by Kenan Thompson, without a new gentleman caller. The first time around? It's Louis C.K.

"Last Call": Sheila Sovage Takes Home Vince Vaughn (season 38, episode 18)

Kate McKinnon is on the prowl again, this time preying on '80s-James-Spader-wig-wearing Vince Vaughn.

"Last Call": Facial Hair Isn't a Problem for Sheila Sovage (season 39, episode 9)

John Goodman, looking like an asthmatic Paul Bunyan, is the latest victim of McKinnon's charms.

"Last Call": Sheila Sovage Gets Kinky With Saran Wrap (season 40, episode 6)

Never one to waste time, McKinnon's Sovage kills time waiting for her friend at the bar by pulling a 50 Shades of Grey on Woody Harrelson.

"Miss Universe": Kate McKinnon Plants One on Nasim Pedrad (Season 39, Episode 5)

In this sketch, Kate McKinnon—the show’s first openly gay female performer—as Miss Bolivia plants a big one on Nasim Pedrad’s “Someone from the E! Network” host. We bet that kiss was made even better by the fake coke all over McKinnon’s face.

"Healthcare.gov Meeting": President Obama and Justin Bieber Get Tongue Tied (Season 39, Episode 16)

We didn’t know we wanted to see this either—Jay Pharoah as Mr. President and Kate McKinnon as the Biebs promoting healthcare with their mouths in the Oval Office—but we’re kind of into it. However, maybe this wasn't the most appropriate skit for Batkid to cameo in.

"The Amazing Spiderman 2": Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone Show Some PDA (Season 39, Episode 19)

Real-life couple Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are famously private about their relationship. But that didn’t stop them from licking each other all over this sketch much to our enjoyment. Plus, there's an extra special bonus makeout featuring Chris Martin in a ponytail wig.
