Enigma's owner and the heartbeat of her fiercely loyal team, Katrina "Kat" Jackson, returns, balancing a growing business and family. After taking a hiatus in Orlando, FL, with her baby Jackson and NFL player fiancé Jamie Collins, Kat is happily pregnant with baby number two and gearing up to celebrate Enigma's fourth year in business. Feeling her shop has been on cruise control for too long, Kat plans to overhaul Enigma with an extensive shop remodel, new artists, new managers, big events and conventions, and the works. It's go time! But it's also baby time, and Jamie is resistant to settling down and purchasing a family home near the shop in L.A. As Kat realizes you can have it all but not all at once, she's forced to make some tough decisions and lean heavily on her team, who are all beginning to see that new levels come with new devils.

Los Angeles transplant and founding Enigma artist Kevin Laroy has grown leaps and bounds since his time in New York at Black Ink. Raised in Dallas, Kevin's parents were initially opposed to his tattoo career, but they sing a different tune now that he's amassed a long list of celebrity clients who pay top dollar for his world-famous portraits and rose tattoos. Kevin had the honor of tattooing his personal heroes, Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige. A modern renaissance man, Kevin is also making waves as a fashion designer and music producer. Kat's best friend and the unofficial second-in-command at Enigma, Kevin has big dreams of helping Kat take her brand to new levels.

New to the IAM shop but well-known in the industry, L.A. native Mz. Ink Bomb is equal parts artistic genius and SoCal cool. A single mom from Inglewood, CA, Ink Bomb is well-known for tattooing Nipsey Hussle's famed marathon flags on the late icon's neck. Since starting at the IAM shop, Ink Bomb has solidified her role on the team as one of the shop's most popular artists. Also popular around town, Ink Bomb's loyalty may come into question as she maintains friendships with artists working in competing shops.

Originally from Miami, Dominican-American Nelly is Enigma's cover-up specialist and self-appointed "shop therapist." With a focus on scar cover-ups, Nelly thrives on turning past trauma into something new and beautiful. Nelly came to tattooing after serving in the military when she was younger, and after much family trauma, she's cut off contact with her remaining living family. As a student of Neoshamanism, Nelly is highly focused on her spiritual journey and maintaining supreme consciousness. Energy and boundaries rule Nelly's world, and she's quick to speak up for her beliefs. Unbeknownst to everyone but her Enigma crew, Nelly secretly married her wife Saiyr, a musician who Kevin manages, last year. Nelly is personally invested in her coworkers' well-being and has taken a special interest in helping Nessie overcome her personal hurdles.

L.A. transplant and IAM newbie Amber is the shop's first permanent makeup artist. Feeling like a big fish in a small pond in Ohio, Amber moved to L.A. to pursue dreams of success and glamour, and she has quickly amassed a long list of celebrity clients. Don't let Amber's bubbly personality fool you: She means business and is all about her bag. With no friends or family in L.A., Amber has leaned hard on her coworkers and is becoming an important member of the IAM Compton shop family.

Hailing from South Central L.A., Enigma founding artist Deshay is fiercely loyal to Kat and protective of the shop. A unique and multi-talented artist, Deshay specializes in anime and has come a long way from the shy, quiet little kid from a broken home drawing in the back of the class. A sneakerhead who loves fashion and his Enigma crew, Deshay is quick to speak his mind. Eager to expand his horizons beyond tattooing, Deshay is launching a podcast with fellow artist Bookie.

Family man and tattoo artist Bookie is the resident "shop dad" at Enigma, a role he takes as seriously as his artistry. Born and raised in L.A., Bookie struggled to find his footing in the tattoo industry, feeling there were few places for artists of color -- until he met Kat, who hired him on the spot. A husband and father of four, the pressure is always on Bookie as his family's sole provider.

After spending more than half his life serving a long and unjust prison sentence, beloved IAM shop apprentice Polo is off parole and enjoying his freedom. Polo eats, sleeps and breathes tattooing, but his job is called into question when a lapse in judgment leaves the IAM crew concerned he's on a path back to the streets.

Lead artist and wise voice of reason, Cory brings his calm maturity and artistic gravitas to IAM. A world-renowned airbrush artist originally hailing from Virginia, Cory has developed a reputation as a phenomenal portrait artist and mentor to young artists like Polo. "Papa Cory" is a beloved and stable force in the shop, but when personal issues pull his time and attention away, the crew worries their esteemed guru is moving on without them.

The unofficial mayor of Compton, CA, and food truck hustler extraordinaire, Armani remains one of the IAM shop's most loyal cheerleaders and supporters. A close friend to KP, Tim and many of the artists, Armani brings a party atmosphere everywhere she goes. Always one to express her strong opinions and queen bee attitude, Armani is a force to be reckoned with.

Season 2
Since the shop was in desperate need of help, KP brought in Star, who has all the goods to deal with temperamental artists, plus connections in L.A. and the tattoo industry. Dubbed the West Coast Barbie, Star brings the color, the flare, the attitude and the truth! Star is here to put the shop on the map and to bring KP's IAM vision to life, and she is not afraid to step on toes to get there. She has big dreams of being a self-made woman who can take care of her loved ones and be more than what the blogs make of her. How will KP manage this big personality?
