' Atlanta Exes' Star Christina Johnson Talks Season 1, CeeLo's Twitter Drama, + Her Boo Willie

Undoubtedly Christina Johnson brought the zen and the peace to some of ladies most dramatic blow ups and show outs, on the first season of Atlanta Exes.

Now that the season is over and she can hang up her mediator hat, Johnson reflects back on her role as peacemaker, talks about the love she now has with Willie and how she makes it work with the familial love she has for her ex CeeLo Green, and discuss how she and Drea Kelly get down.

VH1: First season is finished, how do you feel you were represented?

Christina Johnson: I just feel like this was the greatest project to be a part of just because I’m able to be 100 percent of myself. You can’t ask for more than that, especially when it's reality television.

Do you agree with comments Tameka Raymond made, that editing didn't allow for the world to see the real you?

No, not at all. I feel like I kind of came into the project with the idea of, 'If you don’t say it, they can’t play it,' And just didn't say anything that I would regret or be ashamed of. I was 100% myself and I feel like even with the edits, it represents who I am. I mean it’s true to life, that what you see is pretty much Christina 100 percent.

What were you doing before Atlanta Exes?

I’ve been an interior designer for the last 12 years, I have a company called Inner Piece Design. Ludacris has been my client for 10 years - it's my passion. I also have have a makeup line that I’ve been working on for two years called Butterfly EFX with my celebrity makeup artist friend Tony Acey. That's actually launching in less than 60 days. My newest project with Drea Kelly from Hollywood Exes is called Womanocity.com, and as co-founders we've built a special community all about women coming together to support each other in the bond of sisterhood, where woman are put first.

So you know Drea Kelly, how do you feel Atlanta Exes and Hollywood Exes are different?

Well I’m a fan of Hollywood Exes. I like it because it’s so mature. All the women are beautiful. But I think [the location of] Atlanta in every reality show just brings something different. We’re home girls and really friends. Hollywood is real to based on where they’re from, but Atlanta’s just a different kind of real. It can be so real. (Laughs)

Speaking of real, what's the latest with you and your boo thang Willie?

It feels like it’s been forever. I mean, honestly, it feels like dang, it feels like we’ve been dating for a year and a half. It’s only actually been going on for about seven months. That’s it. People used to tell me all the time, other women who were married to celebrities, 'You’ll just know when you know.' Cause I’m like, 'Gosh, when am I ever going to move forward and get over ‘Lo? When am I going to be able to move on? I meet people but this isn’t it.' And they’re always like, 'You’ll know when you know.' I hated that. I’m like, 'What does that mean?'

(Laughs)The single woman struggle...

Right! (Laughs) So with Willie, I just kind of knew. I mean, we were comfortable with each other. And then I noticed after a month, maybe not even a month, I was like, 'I don’t wear makeup, I don’t worry about my hair. I can be 100% of who I am around him.' I could just be Christina and I wanted that. You don’t want to have to be faking it with anybody or making yourself out to be something that you’re not.

I think I may need a tissue...

I’m all about being genuine and I can do that with him. It just felt like home to me. And everything that I do, he’s so supportive. We support each other in everything. He’s great with my son and he loves my daughter. So it’s a beautiful situation. Yea I’m really happy. I’m so grateful to Sheree for setting us up.

Now that you and Willie are closer, is CeeLo still being the confusing ex-husband or has he accepted your new love?

CeeLo going to meet Willie for the first time this weekend, but we haven’t really talked a lot about it. Today we were on the phone for two and a half hours. Good gracious. And I remember we talked a little bit about Willie’s relationship with King and he said he was fine with it. He’s like 'I know my son and he’s not going to just go follow anybody that he’s not comfortable with. So if he’s comfortable with him, then I accept it.'

CeeLo is a relationship still as well, right?

Yes, he’s in a relationship. I'm always kind to her. I don’t question my son about what they all do together. I trust his judgment and I ask him for that same respect. And so you know, he was like, 'I’m not upset at all. I’m okay with it.' We’re maturely moving forward.

How does Willie handle you and CeeLo still oddly being so close?

Right, I think that’s one of the other reasons that I kind of knew Willie was the one - because he wasn’t threatened by it. He’s very very understanding of it. We’re very open and honest with each other and everything. I think he just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t still in love with him. Nobody wants to get their heart broken. So that was his biggest concern, and once I let him know that wasn’t the case, we moved forward. I’m looking forward to them meeting each other this weekend. I think they’ll end up being cool as far as Willie being in our children’s lives and us being together.

If only the cameras we're going to be there for that!

I know right? But Willie's confidence is one of the things that I like about him the most. 'Cause he’s not trippin'.

CeeLo found himself in a bit a trouble after a series of rape tweets, you two are close what did you say to him when you heard the news?

I can’t talk about it, I’m sorry

No it's fine, but you two did talk about it?

We talk about everything. We talk about everything because we have children, you know what I mean? And it matters, we have a son that’s still in school. So we have to talk about it. Because kids can be cruel or you know, things can happen. And we want to make sure that we band together and communicate to protect our children.

Last but not least would you do an Atlanta Exes season 2?

Yes! I’m so anxious. I can’t wait until they call us. I just feel like so many people are being moved. I haven’t been to one place where someone hasn’t said, 'Hey, I love you guys.' A lot of women lives are being moved and changed, so I hope we get to continue that. And even though we have our bouts, we’re a sisterhood. So I hope we get to do a season 2. I really do.
