Shia LaBeouf Explains That Time He Drank Too Much, Groped Alan Cumming, and Got Arrested at 'Cabaret'
Oh Shia. You were such a cute kid. In movies like Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull you seemed like the perfect combination of boyish good looks, acting chops, and an eagerness to please. And then the troubles started. The arrests. The meltdowns. The purple leggings. At least now we know, it wasn't temporary insanity or an inability to deal with fame, it was the whiskey that made you do it. At least that's what he told Jimmy Kimmel last night.
The hirsute actor explained his June arrest at a performance of the musical Cabaret on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. According to Shia, it was the result of too much whiskey and "looking to turn it up a bit." In this case turning it up means smoking in the theater, more whiskey drinking, and groping Cabaret star Alan Cumming. If nothing else, it makes for one hell of a good story, which you can watch above. Hopefully with the rave reviews coming in for his performance in the new movie Fury, which also stars Brad Pitt, the wild behavior is a thing of the past and he can get back to the serious business of being one of his generations best actors. But if not, at least he'll have some good stories to tell at the bar.
