James Corden Texted Leonardo DiCaprio the Craziest Thing from Jennifer Lopez's Phone During "Carpool Karaoke"
James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment on The Late Late Show is, by far, the greatest thing to happen to television in decades. We've seen some amazing celebs take the passenger seat with Corden--remember Mariah Carey's epic ride?--but his latest installment with Jennifer Lopez takes the cake.
Yes, Jenny from the Block went for a ride with Sir Corden, and it was 13 minutes of perfection. Of course they belted a collection of Lopez's classic hits--"Booty!" "On the Floor!" "Love Don't Cost a Thing!"--but the best part of the road trip had nothing to do with karaoke. It was who Corden texted during Lopez's carpool that has us, well, on the floor.
Around the 9:35 mark, Corden asks Lopez who is the most famous contact in her phone. Corden then grabs J.Lo's phone and asks if he can text one of her celebrity pals. His choice? Leonardo DiCaprio.
"Hey baby, I'm kinda feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know...J.Lo, ya know, from the block," Corden typed to DiCaprio, who won his first Oscar for The Revenant last month. Lopez was visibly embarrassed and pleaded with Corden not to send the text. But he did. HE DID.
And the greatest part? DiCaprio texted back a serious response. "You mean tonight, Boo-boo? Club wise?" DiCaprio wrote. Yes, ladies and gents: DiCaprio literally thought that ridiculous message was from IRL Lopez.
"As if I would sign 'J.Lo'!" Lopez said. Listen, in our world, she always signs her texts "J.Lo."
