Gerardo Mejia is better known in popular culture as "Rico Suave." You know, the guy with the ripped jeans, the hair, the bandana and THE ABS. These days, Gerardo is the star of VH1's new series, Suave Says, but he's also a lay pastor and a happily married father of three. "I think a lot of people picture me selling oranges outside on the street," he says in this interview, and you know, stranger things have happened to other "one-hit wonders." But Gerardo never actually left the music business, after the success of "Rico Suave," he worked in A&R at Interscope Records, signing artists like Enrique Iglesias to the label.

And how does his family feel, since they have to live with this man whose name is an iconic pop culture reference? "It's funny 'cause he's just a dad now," daughter Bianca explains of her dad's sex-symbol past. "Who would have thought Rico Suave cries? But he's such a baby," daughter Nadia adds.

Tune into the laughter -- and who knows, maybe tears? --- on Wednesday, December 3 at 10PM ET/PT for the premiere of Suave Says!
