Tyler Perry Is Expecting His First Child

Tyler Perry is adding a new role to his ever-growing repertoire: daddy! Bossip reports that the 45-year-old media mogul made the announcement while celebrating his latest birthday with friends over the weekend. His on-again, off-again, 28-year-old model girlfriend Gelila Bekele is believed to be the mother.

Even if you didn't know Perry was in a relationship, he's made his desire to have children known over the years. He spoke about wanting to become a dad on The Steve Harvey Show in 2013, saying: "I know I would be a great father. I don’t want to work this hard, I don’t want to have all of this and not leave it to my children." One thing is for sure, his little boy or girl will be a lucky one, with 15+ Tyler Perry productions to watch when he or she is old enough.
