Nick Cannon Explains How Being a "Hopeless Romantic" Inspired His New Film, 'Why Real Is Rare'

Nick Cannon knows a thing or two about love (hello, he was married to Mariah Carey for crying out loud). The self proclaimed hopeless romantic put his experience to the test with the creation of the short film Why Real Is Rare.

Following the plight of six unique couples, Real Is Rare strives to highlight the authenticity of all types of relationships. From people who've met online to other's who've known each other all their lives, each of the couples participating in the film were chosen for various reasons.

Set to air on YouTube, Nick Cannon revealed that he teamed up with the Diamond Producers Association to create the film. "I had the opportunity to partner with the Diamond Producers Association just based off of one, my love for diamonds, but also me being that hopeless romantic, always being someone who's been intrigued by love and relationships and quality relationships.
