Paris Jackson and Macaulay Culkin Got Matching Godfather-Goddaughter Tattoos and It's Pretty Adorable
When it comes to celebrities and tattoos, there's a 50% chance the ink is going to be...interesting. If you're like me and have wild anxiety when it comes to any sort of permanent change, celebrities who get matching ink are always a toss-up. Will there be an awkward cover-up à la Johnny Depp's Wino Forever tattoo? And it's not just the celebrity couples! Celebrity friends who get matching ink are not safe either. Who is to say they'll stay friends? Just imagine if Katy Perry and Taylor Swift got matching tattoos. Awkward.
But Paris Jackson and Macaulay Culkin got some ink this weekend that proves family tattoos might just be the exception. In case you forgot, Macaulay is Paris' godfather, and these two prove that you don't have to be related by blood to be a family. The pair have a close relationship that even includes bonding over a pedicure or two.
Macaulay's been in the news recently because he's had a major make-over and is lookin' pretty good lately.
And it looks like he's taking some time to hang out with Paris performing totally normal and common godfather responsibilities. Like getting tattoos of spoons.
Paris shared some pictures of the process on her Instagram story:
I've got to admit, the spoons are pretty adorable.
Paris is no stranger to sharing ink with those closest to her. She got a matching tat with her brother, Prince to show the world that they are the yin to each other's yang. She's also got close to 50 tattoos, so what's a spoon or two?
Jackson has spoken about her tattoos in an Instagram saying, "the craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. some people like them, some people absolutely hate them. i appreciate art, i always have. especially when that art means something to me. today i can look at my inner forearms and see art that has meaning for me, i don't see a dark past anymore. my scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity.. and depth. sure i will always carry my past with me, but i see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. they represent strength for me. i look back at my old self and then i look in the mirror, and i see a fighter looking back at me. i'll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong. we all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be. so to anyone struggling, it gets better. you're not alone."
You know we're all about some ink!
