If you managed to look away from the glowing aura around Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o or the towering grace of host Aisha Tyler at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards tonight, you would mostly see some nicely dressed movie stars. It's not traditionally a night of huge red carpet risk taking, or the hugely entertaining blunders that brings. Fortunately for us and our need for schadenfreude, there was just enough weirdness to keep us entertained.

Blue Is the Warmest Color star Adele Exarchopoulos was so sweet in her broken-English acceptance speech for Best Young Actor/Actress that we hate to include her here --- but she was in, like, 10 times the amount of dress she needed and it's clear that multiple species died to adorn her shoulders. On the other end of the spectrum, Meryl Streep nearly put us to sleep with her drab shift, but then we woke up due to our anger over her terrible stockings. Miranda would NOT approve. What kills us more is the inclusion of our darling Kristen Bell. Why and how could we do such a thing? Well, you'll have to peruse the gallery to find out.

All in all, it was a perfectly pleasant evening of cursing on live TV (good job with the F bombs, Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper!) and uncomfortable smiles as Aisha hit on every man in the room (and Jessica Chastain). The stars who woke up at 5:40 am PT to get their Oscar nominations might be happy it's over now, though!
