Twitter Is Counting on Drake to Save 'Degrassi' from Cancellation

After 14 years, Degrassi is coming to an end. TeenNick announced a July 31 series finale, and as expected, fans are not taking it well. The teen soap is a show that got us through hard times, introduced the larger North American community to Canadian accents, and of course, brought Aubrey Drake Graham into our lives. For the uninitiated, before he looked like this...

As one of the coolest kids at Degrassi Community School, Jimmy Brooks wore a lot of Triple Five Soul and played in a band called Downtown Sasquatch. He was also a victim of the infamous school shooting, which paralyzed him from the waist down. Because of his long-running arc on the show, and his impact on its legacy, diehard fans are looking to Drizzy for hope. Specifically, they want him to pick up the phone and ask TeenNick to reconsider.

If that can't be done, fans are holding out for Jimmy's return in the season finale.

Or at the very least, a statement from the man himself.

One fan even has an idea for the eventual reboot (of the reboot) in 10-15 years.

And of course, there's the ultimate dream for Jimmy.
