Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson Reveal The Films That Make Them Swoon

Joseph Gordon-Levitt makes his directorial debut with Don Jon, a festival darling that takes a humorous look at love and the way media shapes our expectations. In the film, Levitt's Jon is a New Jersey gym rat who enjoys random hookups every weekend, but enjoys watching porn a lot more. (Like a lot more.)

While an abundance of adult entertainment skews Jon's perception of love, his counterpart Barbara (Scarlett Johansson) gets lost in cheesy romantic films like Special Someone (an epic spoof starring Anne Hathaway and Channing Tatum) and uses its characters as guidelines for how the people in her life should act. Most notably, she's quick to conclude that housework is "not sexy," and therefore no man she's dating should ever dare to pick up a Swiffer.

But does Johansson feel this way herself? After countless roles in countless films, are these A-listers also capable of getting lost in a fictional ideal set to beautiful music inside an enviable Nancy Meyers home? We asked JGL and ScarJo this tough question, as well as tested their knowledge of the genre. Turns out, they're not much like their characters at all.
