Ariana Grande Is Still Talking About The Doughnut Debacle On 'Good Morning America'
Precious bb queen Ariana Grande appeared on Good Morning America this morning to promote her new fragrance and talk about glitter. Ari also announced that she will be unveiling the name of her new single this week, but before you get too excited about any of these things, let GMA host Amy Robach remind us all of that doughnut incident that happened earlier this summer.
Amy prompted Ari, who has already apologized twice for the doughnut debacle, to say more about it. Here's how Ari responded:
"My behavior was very offensive and I apologized. There is no excuse or there is nothing to justify it. As human beings we all say and do things that we don't mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. That's part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes and that's how we grow."
Okay, girl. Apology accepted. So, like, this new music? What's the deal?
“One of the biggest things I learned from [the doughnut incident] was what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you," Ari continued. "And that’s an excruciating feeling. You have to remember that your words, your actions, have, you know, ramifications and you have to really think about what you’re about to say and do because it’s important to so many people."
Alright. Much appreciated, but here's the thing: Ari has already apologized for this, and frankly, we've all moved on. What will it take to not talk about the GD doughnut anymore? A picture of Ari eating a doughnut while waving an American flag? Is it still too soon to joke about?
The fact is, we're onto Scream Queens and album number three, so why is GMA still on doughnuts? Maybe Ari asked for a platform to publicly apologize. Maybe that was what GMA wanted Amy to ask Ari about. Regardless, let's keep it moving, shall we?
Stay tuned for an announcement from Ariana about new music later this week.
