Justin Timberlake Returns to SNL With All Of His Friends

--by Meghan O'Keefe (@megsokay)

Superstar Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live last night for the fifth time, thus putting him in the elite "Five-Timers Club". He also reunited with Lonely Island cohort Andy Samberg, impersonated Elton John, stood next to the Three Amigos, and brought us all down to Veganville.

Oh, and he sang two songs from his new album, too.

Anytime Justin Timberlake hosts SNL is an event, but this one had a particularly large amount of fanfare. Last night, Timberlake joined the likes of Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks, Chevy Chase, Candice Bergen and Christopher Walken in the famed "Five-Timers Club". To cap off the honor, Timberlake and fans alike were treated to a reenactment of the famous "Five-Timers Club" sketch from the early 90s. One piece of SNL fan trivia? In the original sketch, Tom Hanks is given his robe upon entrance by then largely unknown SNL writer Conan O'Brien and last night, the same role was played by current SNL writer, Mike O'Brien. Check it out:

While we didn't get a new "D#%k in a Box" from Timberlake and Samberg, the two did reprise their inappropriate soul singers in a "Dating Game" style sketch that also featured the return of Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd's "Two Wild and Crazy Guys", as well an adorably lost Bobby Moynihan:

Melissa McCarthy will be the show's next host on April 6, with musical guest Phoenix.
