According to Milan, his uncle Clifford married Gordy's daughter Sherri in 2008 and Milan calls Berry his uncle. Professionally, Milan has even gone by Milan Christopher Gordy at times.

Milan hails from the Windy City. Of his upbringing in Illinois, Milan told VH1 he sang in the Chicago Children's Choir and danced with the Chicago Hip Hop dance street crew "UphiU."

Milan is a business owner and owns Beverly Hills White Smile. Milan told VH1 he has other business aspirations, including starting his own men's underwear line.

When Milan was asked for his inspiration for joining reality TV, he name-checked the Baddest Boosh and the Real Housewives of Atlanta star. "Joseline Hernandez is the reason why I joined reality television. Her and Nene Leakes are like, I love them so when I saw them I was like, 'You know what? I think I can do this,' so it was because of them."
