Miley Cyrus Is Hosting The 2015 MTV VMAs, So Have Your Butterfly Pasties At Hand

Odds of Miley wearing a shirt? Anyone?

It's been two years since Instagram and photo-editing maven Miley Cyrus grinded on Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV VMAs, and the world has (maybe) finally recovered. That's why now is the perfect time to let Miley take the stage again at this year's VMAs as — drum roll, please — the show's host.

Miley announced the news via Instagram, joking that since MTV won't let her perform, she's settling as this year's host. 'Cause 2015 just keeps getting better.

Miley has been making waves with her Happy Hippie Foundation, as well as her #InstaPride efforts to highlight transgender and gender expansive youth. Back in May, she performed at the Adult Swim upfront party in NYC, where she sang Khia's "My Neck, My Back" while wearing butterfly pasties. If you haven't seen that already, go here, now.

MTV has been announcing VMA nominations via Beats 1 on Apple Music today. Check out who has snagged which noms so far, and ruminate on what Miley hosting the VMAs will look like in the comments section below.
