Tiffany Haddish Proves 'She Ready!' For Hollywood in New Stand-Up Special
Tiffany Haddish is gearing up for her first stand-up special She Ready! From the Hood to Hollywood, and if you can't tell by the title, she's bringing her coming to age story with her. The journey for the Los Angeles born comedienne starts in her early years in foster care and being bullied on the playground, to getting revenge on ex-boyfriends, to introducing Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to Groupon. It is quite clear Tiffany's unique LA upbringing has an influence on her fearless and optimistic comedic style.
We've gotten a glimpse into the personal life of Haddish in VH1's Black Women in Comedy Week documentary, All Jokes Aside. In her "day in the life" segment, she opens up about the many obstacle's she faces as a Black woman pursuing comedy in Hollywood. Given her work in 2017 alone, it's safe to say that Tiffany has found the winning formula and hasn't been stopped.
She's starring in the hilarious sitcom The Carmichael Show. She's created countless show-stealing moments on VH1's Hip Hop Squares, like the time she called out Tyson Beckford and Don Benjamin to a walk-off. She's also starring alongside Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall in the upcoming comedy Girls Trip. Tiffany is on the up and up, and it seems like nothing can slow her down.
