JCPenney Employee Quits After Being Sent Home For Wearing JCPenney Outfit

Apparently JCPenney's career apparel doesn't meet JCPenney's employee dress code standard.

Last week, Sylva Stoel, a 17-year-old from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, quit her job at the department store after she was told to go home and change because her current outfit was "too revealing." But the twist in all of this is that she was wearing clothes bought from JCPenney's "career section." The reasoning behind her wearing the outfit was due to the store marketing the apparel as acceptable work attire. Stoel took to Twitter to address the situation:

She also spoke with People stating, "I didn't expect it to happen, but I wasn't surprised—there's been a lot of talk about unfair dress codes affecting women, and it was in the back of my mind that this could happen."
