The family is all gathered around the table for a hearty meal and a heavy topic. What is Tati doing with her life? Some of her family members have researched Black Ink and they're not very fond of what they've seen. The fights, the drama...it's just not the proper place for their precious baby girl. "I understand you were going out there to be your own woman," Tati's father says, "but my thing is...I thought you were going back to school."

Tati goes on to explain that her family has always given her a hard time about becoming a tattoo artist. Her parents and all of her cousins have college degrees, so they obviously want her to pursue the same path. The incessant questions have Tati feeling stuck. She knows that she wants to open her own shop, but isn't exactly sure how best to go about it.
