RIP Blunt And Bikini Selfies: Fans Mourn Rihanna's Missing Instagram Account

Instagram lost of one of its most prominent users this week when Rihanna's account magically vanished on Monday. A rep for the 'gram said deactivating her account was an honest mistake and subsequently restored her account, only to have it disappear from record once again. And the world just hasn't been the same since.

With a mix of scandalous bikini selfies to nods to VH1 programming and heartfelt captions honoring family and friends, Rihanna's Instagram account was a part of us. Despite being inappropriately sexy at times (see above), her grams were a refreshing detour from many of the otherwise humorless celebrity accounts. How else were we supposed to pick up on her latest additions to the English language (#RIHgram) or know when she's throwing shade at an ex's girlfriend? How on Earth will we know when to celebrate 4/20?? By swiping through her photos, we were able to enter Rihanna's world — albeit one that is filtered and cropped to perfection — and feel like a part of her inner circle. We can't all be BFF Melissa Forde, so this was the next best thing.

We're not the only ones who are mourning what is hopefully the temporary loss of @badgalriri. As each minute goes by without a new Rihanna photo, a conflict-free diamond sheds a tear. Check out some of her fan's reactions, below.

Hopefully the outpouring of feelings from her Navy will lead Rihanna to make a dramatic return, declaring in a Vincent Chase-like tone, "I am Instagram!" That, or she'll just start posting flattering pictures that don't violate the company's policies. In the meantime, Ashanti is having the best week ever.
