Elle King Takes On The Rides At Hangout Fest

Elle King has mad water slide skills, you guys! We should know, because we've been putting our favorite bluesy banjo rocker through the ringer testing the rides. She's clearly enjoying all Hangout Music Festival has to offer, and you can too!

Screw a "Wish You Were Here!" postcard. With the three-day, beach-side Gulf Shores, Alabama event officially underway VH1, MTV and CMT have been live streaming performances round-the-clock on the Hangout Hub while celeb ground correspondents like Chrissy Teigen and festival-loving artists like Elle, brave sunburn and hula-hooping crowds to check out the scene and test out rides like the Mega Drop to give you an ultimate practically-there festival experience.

Peep the hilarious footage we got when we handed the "Playing For Keeps" crooner a camera and challenged her to tackle the Chevrolet Waterslide.

As fun as the games (and FOOD!) are here, this festival is foremost about the music with four different stages, plus an EDM tent, playing all day and night. To get Elle in the mood we gave her a lyrics challenge, testing her knowledge of music of headliners Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and more.

We must admit Ms. King actually breezed through most lines we threw. She scored three out of four (better than grade than she got in high school), but Elle will have to brush up on her Public Enemy before she's ready to sing along to "Fight The Power" when the rap fit hits the stage Saturday afternoon. You'll be there, too, of course in the best seat in the house.
