5 Essential Roles That Feature Matt Bomer in His Underwear
Many fans of Matt Bomer know him from his stripping in Magic Mike, but the actor has been breaking hearts as Neal Caffrey for five seasons on White Collar. Both roles are notable not only for Bomer's charming blue eyes and fine acting, but his sculpted shirtless body as well. In fact, in most of his roles, the actor has found a way to strip down — whether by choice or courtesy of the producers' smart decision making — for fans' viewing pleasure.
With Bomer making his return to TV in a guest role on Ryan Murphy's hit FX anthology series, American Horror Story, and the debut of White Collar's final season, we decided to look back at all of the actor's finest underwear roles. Warning: Butts abound.
1. Guiding Light
From 2001 to 2003, Bomer appeared on the longest-running soap opera as Ben Reade. In one particular episode, Marina (Aubrey Dollar) seduces Ben and gets him into his briefs. Her act of sabotage turns out to be a gift to fans. Watch the clip below:
But take time to appreciate his tighty-whiteys...
Bomer’s most famous big screen role has to be Ken in the 2012 film directed by Steven Soderbergh. The all-male stripper story saw Bomer and his co-stars shed their clothes for various stripteases. While some thong action made it into the movie, the deleted scenes proved to be the juiciest. In one, Bomer is literally a ken doll but with a thong and actual abs.
As a guest star on Murphy’s short-lived NBC sitcom in 2013, Bomer was seen exercising shirtless in gym shorts, which were basically loose boxers. Stars Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha — the show’s primary gay couple — weren’t the only ones gawking.

4. The Normal Heart
In HBO’s 2014 adaptation of the Tony Award-winning play, Bomer plays the stunningly attractive Felix Turner who falls for Ned Weeks (Mark Ruffalo). The two actors share a steamy sex scene early in the film. Unfortunately, this scene comes with dire consequences for Felix.

5. White Collar
Now in its final season, White Collar won over fans thanks to its many scenes featuring a shirtless Bomer. Over the course of its five seasons — the sixth and final season starts on Nov. 6 — the actor has appeared in only pajama bottoms, boxing shorts, and jeans (with no t-shirt), as well as naked in bed.
