Solange to Perform at Alternative Inauguration Event in DC
By Jasmine Washington
Fresh off of a killer performance at President Barack Obama's farewell party, Solange is headed right back to the nation's capital.
The A Seat at the Table songstress is slated to perform at Busboys and Poets inaugural Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance event, an alternative inauguration event held the night before president-elect Donald Trump officially becomes the President of the United States.
Esperanza Spalding is also set to hit the stage at the National Museum of African American History and Culture where Alice Walker, Angela Davis, Ashley Judd, Fran Drescher, Danny Glover and Melissa Harris-Perry are listed as attendees.
The event is slated to "celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the past 4 years and the vow to continue to be the change we want to see in the world."
Interesting in attending the A-list event? Too little, too late. Tickets for the Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance are already sold out. Bummer!
