Raise your hand if Judy Blume's books guided you through puberty. We thought so. We're sure you remember where you were when you read Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, and were baffled by the dated belted sanitary pad instructions. Or when you read Forever, the famously lusty tale of a teen girl and her lover, who actually named his junk Ralph. The oft-banned, super-controversial, highly censored author's young adult (and adult) novels were rife with memorably spicy scenes that were burned on our subconscious -- and now, the legendary author's at it again!  For the first time in over a decade, Blume's working on a new book.

Sadly, she's not giving up details on what it's about, but her Knopf editor told the New York Times: “It’s pure Judy Blume, writing about family and about friendships, about love, about betrayal … It’s quintessential Judy.” If it's anything like Deenie, where a beautiful teen with scoliosis has to navigate making out while wearing a massive back brace, we're all in.
