Definitive Proof That Wendy Williams Is the Empress of Feuds

It's about to be a—what?!—Wendy fight.

Musical theater icon and inventor of words Wendy Williams is a multifaceted goddess capable of many things—chiefly, changing the face of Broadway and revolutionizing the word "doin'." However, when she's not slaying your faves/being a casual couch trailblazer, gossip queen Wendy is stirring up beef stew with famous people. And by beef stew we mean fights. Big fights. BRAWLS, even. (Yes, talk show host Wendy Williams is capable of brawls.)

Now, we don't mean fist fights. We're talking about something much more painful: shade. Wendy is a master reader, and she's started feuds with everyone from NeNe Leakes to LeAnn Rimes. She's arguably one of the most disliked people in Hollywood because of this. Here are 13 tête-à-têtes that confirm she is history's most notorious feud fiend.

Diddy

The greatest thing about Feuding Wendy—her official title, if you didn't know—is that she'll mess with anyone. Even Diddy. (Which, in lieu of recent violent events, maybe not the smartest idea.) That's why we weren't surprised when Wendy alleged Diddy was gay in 1998 while working as a DJ for Hot 97. So, what did Puff Daddy do in return? Get her kicked off the air for spreading lieeeeeeeeees. Wendy has since patched things up with PD—well, at least in her own mind. “I’m over it in a good way and he’s also over it," Wendy said, per Centric TV. We're sure Diddy is on a yacht somewhere dressed in all white, giving zero f—cks about Ms. Williams' shenanigans.

Whitney Houston

This one goes way back. Wendy had Whitney, who passed in 2009, on her radio talk show in 2003 and repeatedly—repeatedly—asked the singer about her alleged drug problems. (Not exactly the ideal topic for a morning cup of joe, eh?) Whitney clearly was having none of it and told Wendy, on air, "If this were back in the day in Newark, I'd meet you outside." DON'T MESS WITH WHITNEY. Unfortunately, Wendy never saw a reconciliation with this one. According to a New York Daily News article from 2009, Whitney was still steamed over the '03 interview and had no interest in appearing on Wendy's talk show.

NeNe Leakes

If you've ever watched an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, you know damn well not to come for NeNe unless she sends for you (and even then be weary). Wendy didn't heed this warning, because she said NeNe's marriage to Gregg Leakes "lacked chemistry." Of course, NeNe clapped back: "She don't know shit about my relationship," she said. "Have you ever seen her and Kevin [Hunter, her husband] kiss? Yuck." But Wendy didn't back down. She tore NeNe a new one for bedazzling her Birkin bag in 2014, to which Lady Leakes responded via an open letter. "What you need to do is stop spewing hate!" she wrote. "When it comes to gossip you are the lowest of the low!"

Evelyn Lozada

The Basketball Wives star got particularly salty in 2014 after Wendy called the baby she had with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford a "cash register." (Gold digger jokes—keepin' it classy.) Evelyn was quick to check Wendy, tweeting, "You know @WendyWilliams, I never bother anyone. I even bought you a beautiful bouquet of flowers congratulating your broadway debut...#NowPutThatOnHotTopics ✌️." LIVING.

LeAnn Rimes

Typical Wendy, sticking her nose in places where it does not belong. In this case, it was VH1 alum LeAnn who got the brunt of it. In 2010, Wendy criticized LeAnn's affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian for being "sloppy." LeAnn bit back—yaaas, queen—on Twitter. "All I know is Wendy Williams done pissed my mamma off! I don't wanna be in her path," she wrote. "To say, 'I've reserved myself a place in hell?!' I'm incredibly disappointed to see someone with that kind of platform use it for such negativity and could be so mean and judgmental about a situation they know nothing about." These two eventually patched things up, because both LeAnn and Eddie appeared on Wendy's show last summer to promote their VH1 series. Water under the bridge, or just good PR?

Lil' Kim

Yeesh, there really is no one Wendy won't start drama with. "Do you want to talk about Lil' Kim and that face of hers?" Wendy quipped on her show in March 2013, E! Online reports. "It's filled so tight now, Kim, it looks like a pin would just pop you." (Ouch.) This made Lil' Kim tweet up a storm, obviously, to defend herself. "@WendyWilliams Bitch Y didn't u show the side by side pic," she wrote. "This pic is photoshopped & U know it. U hating Bitch...@WendyWilliams Stop hating on me because U sucked Big's d—k & he didn't want nothing to do with yo ass after that." Holy. Crap. She went in, and we're shamelessly here for it.

"]

Omarosa

THE ULTIMATE FEUD. Like, no fight will ever compare. It dates back to 2008, when Omarosa appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and was (let's face it) bizznitchy AF. Wendy's searing hate toward Omarosa is palpable in the video. She confirmed the bad blood when she said she wanted to "throw [Omarosa] off the set." Things got so nasty between these two that Wendy skipped out on the 2013 White House Corespondents Dinner when she found out she'd be seated next to Omarosa. But hell froze over later that year when the big O appeared again on Wendy's talk show. (The exchange was much sweeter, but still a tad prickly. Obvs.)

Master P

After Wendy criticized Master P's rocky relationship with his ex-wife, Sonya Miller, and children in May 2014, he fought back. "I thought Wendy Williams was my friend," he said. "I understand that her job is to entertain gossip but how could she keep picking up TMZ gossip as if it was real news when she should have contacted me directly if she was really concerned about my family?" The man has a decent point, and it looks like Wendy heard him loud and clear. She had Master P on her show two months later, so it looks like this hatchet is long buried.

Method Man

Alright, Wendy actually sucks for doing this. Back on her show in 2006, she revealed (without Method's permission) that his wife had cancer. Needless to say, the rapper was pissed, so he made a video calling Wendy out for crossing the line. Ugh, this one is just sad.

Will Smith

It's unclear what specific thing Wendy said about Will to piss him off. (She's repeatedly criticized the actor's career and personal life.) However, it was enough for him to put Wendy on blast in his 2005 song "Mr. Niceguy." "Wendy Williams, you don’t know me / I’m not your punching bag/ You gon blow me up girl, you better leave me alone / Before I buy your radio station and send you home.” Not exactly lyrical brilliance, but you get the idea.

Mariah Carey

Mimi, another shade scholar, was not too pleased with Wendy after she defended Eminem for calling her a "bitch" and "whore" in one of his songs. "Mariah, you started this," she said, suggesting it was MC's track "Obsessed" (which disses Eminem) that sparked the feud. Mariah refused to appear on Wendy's show after the call-out. She also threw some shade of her own by singing the lyrics, "Cause baby they be all up in my bidness / Like a Wendy interview" in her song "Touch My Body." Would you expect anything less from Mimi?

LL Cool J

LL Cool J is one of many male celebs POed at Wendy because she accused them of being gay on air. Other disgruntled dudes include Usher and Tyler Perry.

Tupac

Oy. In the '90s, Wendy asserted the late rapper was raped while in jail. (Yeah...that's a godawful rumor to spread.) Tupac thought so too, so he retaliated through lyrics in his track "Why U Turn On Me." The exact words are NSFW, but Tupac takes several shots at Wendy's weight and—erm—encourages that she try Jenny Craig.
