A History of the Kardashians' Biggest Beefs with Other Celebrities
The Kardashians are a polarizing family. You either love them or you hate them. Well, many celebrities hate them, and they have no problem expressing it. Since the Kardashians became household names in 2007, A-listers from Daniel Craig to Jon Hamm have taken shots at them. However, this family doesn't take many things sitting down, and they're known to clap back from time to time. Below is a history of the biggest Kardashian beefs with other celebrities. Grab your tea and get cozy. This might get ugly.
Amber Rose
In February 2015, Rose slammed Kylie Jenner's relationship with Tyga in a Breakfast Club interview. "She's a baby, she needs to go to bed at 7 o'clock and relax," Rose said. "That's ridiculous. [Tyga] should be ashamed of himself. For sure. He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old who just turned 17." Khloe Kardashian responded to these comments with a little shade of her own. "Please don't worry about my sister who has a career & her s--t together at ONLY 17 people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones," she tweeted. Rose has since patched things up with the Kardashians; she even posed for a selfie with Kim, which went viral.
Blac Chyna
Chyna's relationship with the Kardashian clan disintegrated after Jenner started dating her baby-daddy Tyga. This led to a stream of social media posts and an ice battle of epic proportions. Things hit a fever pitch when Chyna started dating (and later became engaged) to Rob Kardashian. She soon announced she was pregnant with his baby. This led to a peace treaty between Chyna and KyKy via--what else?--selfies.
VH1 staffers bring Kylie Jenner and Tyga's relationship timeline to life in the video below:
Chloë Grace Moretz
The 19-year-old actress called out Kim for her viral naked mirror selfie in March. "I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies," Moretz tweeted. Kardashian then hit Moretz back with, "let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo." Zing! Moretz opened up about all the drama in an interview with Glamour. “I saw that photo, and I had to say something,” she said. “That picture wasn’t linked to body confidence. … It was done in a slightly voyeuristic light, which I felt was a little inappropriate for young women to see.”
Farrah Abraham
The Teen Mom veteran served some piping hot tea on Instagram in January after Kendall dissed her on Kocktails with Khloé premiere Wednesday night. Here’s what went down: Host Khloé had two of her guests act out the recent beef between Abraham and Nicki Minaj. (You remember: Minaj tweeted Abraham was a See You Next Tuesday to her mother, prompting a social media war of epic proportions.) The skit got some laughs, and Khloé posed this question to Jenner: Is she on Minaj or Abraham’s side? “I don’t really agree with a lot of Farrah’s decisions in life, so that’s why I would just say I’m on Nicki’s side,” Kendall said. Well, of course Abraham caught wind of this jab, so she took to Instagram this afternoon and revealed just how little she thinks of the Kardashians. How did she do that? She posted a photo of the famous E! family with an image of Ray J on it that reads, “I made this whole family famous with my d–ck.” And Abraham’s caption? “#lifechoices @kendalljenner.” That’s right. Abraham went there. She f–king went there!
Jon Hamm
This unlikely feud started when Hamm said, "Whether it's Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly." Kardashian fired back, calling Hamm's comments "careless." However, Hamm disagreed. "I don’t think [my comments] were careless," he said. "I think they were accurate." These two allegedly patched things up in 2012 after Kim appeared on an episode of 30 Rock.
Amandla Stenberg
In July 2015, Stenberg called out Kylie for wearing cornrows and appropriating Black culture. “When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter” Stenberg commented on KyKy's photo. However, Kylie hit back with, “@amandlastenberg Mad if I don’t, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something.” Petty Wap.
Bette Midler
Midler hopped on Twitter in March 2016 shortly after Kim posted her naked mirror selfie and delivered some shady sorcery. "Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera," Midler tweeted. Kim clapped back with, "hey @BetteMidler I really didn't want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu... I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding." Midler didn't take this sitting down, though. " I never tried to fake friend you. Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke..." she said. And the award for most unlikely feud goes to...
Piers Morgan
Morgan also couldn't keep his mouth shut about Kim's naked selfie in March 2016. "I know the old man's $50 million in debt, Kim - but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?" he tweeted. Kim kept the shade going, tweeting "hey @piersmorgan never offer to buy a married woman clothes. thats on some ashley madison type shit #forresearch."
Joan Rivers
Rivers' main diss toward the Kardashians came in January 2014. She called the infant North West "ugly" and in need of a waxing. Kim and Khloé fired back by giving Rivers the cold shoulder at that year's NBC Upfronts. According to RadarOnline, the sisters were originally seated next to Rivers at the event, but they asked for a change.
Taylor Swift
Stephanie Seymour
In June 2016, the iconic model said Kendall and Gigi Hadid are not real supermodels but just "b--ches of the moment." Don't think KenKen let that slide! “Gigi sent me the most recent rant and I'm disappointed," Kendall wrote on her website. "If you're going to tell us not to be in ‘your moment,’ then don't be in mine! No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour's thing, or trying to be her. I actually looked up to her. She has a daughter! I guarantee you that she didn't imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being ‘b-tches of the moment.’”
Rita Ora
In December 2012, shortly after they broke up, Rob went on a Twitter tirade against Rita. However, Ora responded with some high-class shade like the queen she is. “When you are involved with someone for a while and they decide to express their feelings to the public, well, that’s not my personal way of therapy but I guess everyone takes split-ups differently… You should have to sit an exam before you go on Twitter. To see if you’re mentally stable," she said.
Paris Hilton
Hilton and Kim were one-time BFFs. However, things took a sour turn when Hilton said Kim's butt reminded her of "cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.” What followed thereafter was a cold war, triggered mostly by insults and actions by Hilton. The pair reunited in Ibiza in 2014, but things have never really been the same.
Rebel Wilson
Wilson shaded the Kardashian clan in a November 2015 interview, saying, "I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am. How Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard..." The Aussie actress then claimed a Kardashian publicist launched a "smear campaign" against her for the comments. Wilson eventually relented, sending the family flowers.
Amy Schumer
Schumer criticized Khloe's weight loss during her opening SNL monologue in October 2015. “We used to have Khloe," she said. "Khloe was ours, right? Whenever there’s a group of women, you identify with one of them, right? Khloe, she lost half her body weight. She lost a Kendall [Jenner], and we have nothing.” Khloe hit back at Schumer's comments, claiming they were a form of body-shaming. "No need 2 tear down others just 2 make urself feel bigger,” Khloe tweeted. “It actually makes you quite small. I’m on a healthy journey. I don’t care 4 the hate.” Schumer later clarified her comments, saying she has "nothing but love" for the Kardashians.
Daniel Craig
Craig dissed the Kardashians in an interview with British GQ in 2011. "Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions," he said. "I don't think they were that badly off [financially] to begin with but now look at them. You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f--king idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?'" Mama Kris fired back at 007, saying. "The right thing for a real man to do is issue a public apology."
