NEW YORK, NY, November 14, 2016 – VH1 announced today that multifaceted actor and G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings artist Teyana Taylor has joined the performance lineup for “VH1 DIVAS HOLIDAY: UNSILENT NIGHT”. Taylor will share the stage with previously announced musical icons Mariah Carey and Patti LaBelle. While this marks her first VH1 DIVAS performance, Taylor’s relationship with VH1 dates back to her show-stopping tribute to Hip Hop legend Lil’ Kim at this year’s VH1 HIP HOP HONORS and continues with a recurring role on the network's highly anticipated series “The Breaks” and an upcoming appearance on VH1’s “Hip Hop Squares.” Taylor recently set the internet on fire after she was featured in musical icon Kanye West’s latest music video for his song “Fade,” which saw over 44 million views on YouTube alone.

“I’m thrilled to continue my relationship with VH1 for the iconic DIVAS return. I’m so excited to perform on the show for the first time! I can’t wait to give my fans a different side of me, with a special twist on a holiday performance!” says Taylor.

Fans won't want to miss what's sure to be a show stopping performance of a holiday classic at VH1 DIVAS. Taylor’s holiday music acclaim stems from with the wildly popular 2010 track “Christmas in Harlem,” which was originally released as part of Kanye West’s GOOD Fridays free music giveaway series. The track, which features Kanye Westand rapper Cyhi the Prynce, peaked at numbers 13 and 3 onBillboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles and Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles charts, respectively. Her acting credits include VH1’s upcoming “The Breaks,” “Brotherly Love” and “Madea’s Big Happy Family.”

Since its inception in 1998, VH1 DIVAS has assembled the most dynamic and prolific female performers the industry has to offer, celebrating their raw talent and invaluable contributions to pop culture. After a four-year hiatus, the DIVAS have returned, just in time for the holidays, for a night that promises to be both festive and fabulous in equal measure.
