Brad Pitt's Hair Length Is the Most Important Part of His Film Career

When it comes to Brad Pitt’s hair, it’s almost as popular as the actor himself. Over the past three decades, Pitt has built a brand around his quiet acting style, sexy build, and gorgeous hair. While he looks stunning with a buzz cut, and seriously handsome with a classic ‘do, it’s his long hair that has caused debate. Is Pitt better or worse looking with long hair? And are the movies he’s in with said long hair good or bad? Sure, the second question doesn’t come up as much but it’s a fair one to ask. Pitt with long hair in The Counselor is one unfortunate combination.

Check out our matrix of Pitt’s career as it relates to the length of his hair. It’s safe to say that the actor has had the most hits or misses when he grows things down to his shoulders. Yet, there is a happy medium we discovered when charting the actor’s locks. When he keeps things short but loose enough that he has to brush his hair off his face, he’s the most successful both with the box office and critics. Think: A River Runs Through It, Sleepers, or Moneyball.
