Vampire Weekend Sang About "Diane Young" On 'SNL' Last Night
Vampire Weekend returned to Saturday Night Live last night to perform their new single, "Diane Young," promote their new album, Modern Vampires of The City, and to show off lead singer Ezra Koenig's unique vocal range.
In Vampire Weekend's new song, "Diane Young," Koenig sings a section where it sounds like his voice is being slid up and down the scale of possible human sounds by a machine, but as you can see in the clip below, it's Koenig's pipes--and not a producer's switches--making that amazing sound:
Vampire Weekend followed the catchy "Diane Young" with another new typically upbeat single, "Unbelievers."
Saturday Night Live returns next week for its season finale. Ben Affleck will host and musical guest Kanye West will presumably debut his next single.
