Fantasia, Monica + Tweet Gave an Amazing Tribute to Missy Elliott at 'Hip Hop Honors'
Missy Elliott's tribute performance at VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens will take you back in time. Literally.
We made sure Misdemeanor was properly honored. It started with Fantasia singing the hell out of "Free Yourself," her 2005 song that features Elliott. Clad in a skintight white dress, Fantasia sounded pitch perfect as Elliott got her life in the audience.
Up next was Monica. The singer performed her 2003 hit "So Gone," which Elliott wrote and produced. Tweet closed the trio with her and Elliott's song "Oops (Oh My)," and it was fabulous AF.
But the ladies had one more surprise in store. All three of them sang a little bit of "Lady Marmalade," the 2001 Grammy-winning song Elliott produced for the film Moulin Rouge! It was the perfect ending to a perfect tribute.
Watch it all go down in the video above.
