Kanye West Just Said The Most 'Un'-Kanye West Thing Ever

Is he sick? Did a clone do this?

Kanye West is known for many things. His humility is not one of them. That's why his latest stunt on Twitter is perhaps the craziest thing he's ever done--yes, even more than that bizarre cat fight with Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose last week. The rap maestro announced that his upcoming album WAVES--wait for it--won't be the greatest album of all time, as he previously said.

Yup. It appears Sir West has come down with a serious cold affecting his personality and is eating humble pie as a remedy. "Out of respect for Q-Tip, Puff, Hov, Lauren, Pharcyde, Mary, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, James, Pete Rock, Pac, Marvin....this new album is ONE of the greatest albums not the greatest just one of..." he tweeted on Tuesday. "So many musicians touch my life and made me who I am...I want to make something great to honor my idols..." Here is photographic proof, if you don't believe us:

This is a stark contrast to what West said about his album just a few weeks ago. "This is not album of the year," he said. "This is album of the life."

So, what happened to West's edge? We have a few theories:

  • Khalifa gave Kanye a come-to-Jesus chat during their "great" conversation yesterday.

  • Kim Kardashian threatened to stop helping him with the album--a dire, dire loss--if he didn't say this.

  • He has the flu and is hallucinating.

  • It's a Yeezus clone.

    • We're thinking clone. It's always the clone.
