Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea kicked summer off a little early on Monday by churning out their sassy "Pretty Girls" collaboration and it's basically everything you'd expect from these two. It's two and a half minutes of playful singalong chants atop a bouncy "Fancy"-lite beat. Sure, it could be more inventive, but it's fun, and let's face it, girl-on-girl collaborations have always been welcomed, especially in the world of pop. Whether it's two divas boasting about one less problem or their one-two step, the excitement around female collaborations is sort of undeniable. Now, if you need a brief reminder of some of the most killer female duets that we'll probably never remove from our playlists, we have you covered.
Britney Spears featuring Madonna - “Me Against The Music”
Since we already mentioned Britney's new single "Pretty Girls," we have to show some love to "Me Against The Music," her 2003 team-up with Madonna. Produced by Tricky Stewart, this club banger was the lead single from B's In The Zone and successfully transitioned the titan into pop adulthood with the Queen of Pop herself.
Fun fact: Madonna wasn't on the original track. Britney asked Madge if she wanted to jump on it after overhearing the song during rehearsals for their iconic VMA performance.
Salt 'N' Pepa and En Vogue - “Whatta Man”
Some female collabos remain timeless and "Whatta Man" is the perfect example of that. En Vogue repped for both the men and women of the world in the early '90s when they covered the 1968 Linda Lyndell original. Throw in some bars from Salt 'N' Pepa and you have yourself a revamped slice of head-nodding all-girl hip hop.
Brandy and Monica - “The Boy Is Mine”
Brandy and Monica remained supreme during the '90s R&B wave, so it was only natural that they'd take their rumored rivalry to the next level with a Darkchild-produced duet. I can't even think of a better karaoke song.
Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey - “When You Believe”
What happens when you put two of the greatest voices of our time on a track together? Absolute Oscar-winning magic. "When You Believe" was recorded for the 1998 DreamWorks animation The Prince of Egypt and still gives me all the feels.
Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX - “Fancy”
Iggy Azalea dropped a few singles before hitting gold with her Charli XCX-assisted "Fancy." Propelled by a Clueless-inspired visual, the song nabbed Billboard's 2014 Song of the Summer title and served as Vevo's most-watch music video of the year in the United States. Not too shabby.
Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and P!nk - “Lady Marmalade”
2001 was a big year for pop, especially for Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and P!nk. Sure, this is what started the whole Xtina vs. P!nk beef, but hey, we got one killer collabo out of it, right?

Lady Gaga pulled all the tricks out of the bag for her mega-collabo with Beyoncé and it worked. Catchy pop tune? Check. Killer music video? Check. This is Gaga at her finest. Now all we are missing is that live on-stage performance.
Shakira featuring Rihanna - “Can't Remember to Forget You”
When we said girl-on-girl, we meant it in a literal sense too. Shakira and Rihanna got all steamy last year when they teamed up this aggressive Latin-tinged pop anthem, and we’re still bumping it.
Jessie J featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj - “Bang Bang”
Jessie J caught a new wave of fans and catapulted fame when she teamed up with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj for this Max Martin-produced cut. It's big, loud and representative of each of the ladies. That's a win win in my book.
